Weighing of hand luggage at Sydney Airport

Does anyone know if Garuda has been weighing hand luggage flying out of Sydney Airport lately when checking in?? I know Jet Star does but what about Garuda? Im taking over alot of stuff to give away so want to put all our luggage in hand luggage.

Yes. the last time I flew they weighed and then tagged my handcarry.

I guess they are afraid of the amount of handcarry that some passengers tend to take on. I think its one piece for 7kgs.

I%26#39;ve seen it happen before.. someone turned up at the gate with excessive handcarry, they got a grilling and had to pay for the baggage... Just be careful.

Yes, Garuda have very strict with all luggage. Each case should weigh no more than 30 kilos and unless you are a silver FF or business class you will be charged for anything over 20 kilos.

Your cabin luggage must be the right size and no more than 7 kilos.

The days of them allowing donation goods free have long gone.

ok I was just checking because my hand luggage is 9kgs.
