Thanks for info

Hi there everyone. Just wanted to say thanks for updating this thread! I arrive in Jakarta April 11 and will stay at the Ibis Ker....., sorry haven%26#39;t got the exact details to hand but it%26#39;s near to a big showground area. Should I get the DAMRI bus to Gambir and walk too? I have minimal luggage. Tks!

Thanks for info

Ibis Kemayoran???

Then, you need to drag your luggage for over 5km away from Gambir station! LOL!

Ibis Kemayoran is located in the old airport, now turned into Jakarta Fairground and Convention Center. Also in the area are some apartments, flats, and newly developed small estates. Quite hard to find food around, you%26#39;ll need to take taxi everywhere.

If the booking is not confirmed yet, for better option, choose Ibis Arcadia or Ibis Tamarin, the location is much better, can drag your luggage from Gambir Station (1km+) or take taxi or bajaj for around AUD1.

Of course these hotels are a bit expensive than Ibis Kemayoran, but still, the location is way better except you need to attend something at the Jakarta Fairground...

Thanks for info

Is yr hotel reservation confirmed? Unless you have anything to do in surrounding neighborhood such as attending the exhibition. Staying at Ibis Kemayoran is not suggestible for foreigners. The area is quite shady at night and nothing you to see. Also it is basically a commercial area in daytime and in the middle of traffic jam.

Staying at Ibis Arcadia or Tamarin is worth every extra penny. Please do consider this.

However if you insist, take Damri bus NOT to Gambir, there is another Damri to Kemayoran and you can alight nearby the hotel (not really in walk distance), you can take taxi for short hop afterward. If you arrived after 6 PM, not really suggest to take Damri to Kemayoran as I mentioned before, it is quite a shady area. Better take taxi from airport
