advice needed

Hey guys, we are traveling to Bali for our honeymoon and need a little advice.

We will be spending four nights in Ubud and the final two is Sanur but need help with what to do in between.

We had planned to travel straight from Bali to the Gilli but am worried that we will miss out on the joys of Lombok that way.

Can you guys give me some ideas of where to go in Lombok that would be as private and secluded as the Gillis or let me know whether you think we are doing the right thing heading there?

Congrats on your wedding! We too are travelling to Bali and Lombok for our honeymoon in May, and are planning to stay a few nights in Mangsit (just out of Senggigi) en route from Ubud to the Gilis.

I%26#39;ve also heard that Kuta (in the south of Lombok) is very quiet and great surfing, but personally we liked the idea of being parked up at a more boutique hotel and just drinking in the sunset - the view from the coast in Mangsit/Senggigi looks straight back over the volcano in Bali and I guess would be pretty romantic... They say there%26#39;s not much at Mangsit, but it%26#39;s only a short taxi ride from restaurants and shopping in Senggigi, and like you, we don%26#39;t want to miss out on experiencing a bit of Lombok!

We%26#39;ve booked into the Qunci Pool Villas, and have a villa with our own pool(!), but it was a tough choice between this (minimalistic) and the Puri Mas (traditional Lombok style) next door. I encourage you to check them out.
