Hi fellow members!
I will be visiting Yogya in April. Ill be there for 3 nights. Priority is of coz Borobudur temple. However we only need a day for that. Not too sure what i could do with the rest of the days.
Appreciate if someone cld help me:
1. Should i stay in Yogya or MAgelang. I hear some reviews saying its better to stay in Yogya and hire a cab to MAgelang as there is nothing else in MAgelang other than the Temple.
2. Our interest is architecture and arts. If we stay in Yogya is there anything i can look forward to? If its jsut another city like Jakarta, i would rather spend some time in the country side. However if there are nice stuff to catch up on in Yogya will be great if anyoen cld give us a tip.
3. How much is the taxi cost from Yogya Airport to Magelang? Jsut wanna make sure i dont get ripped off as its my first time to JAwa.
4. Please recommend a hotel in Magelang (near Borobudur temple). We tried Saraswati ana Manohara, unfortunately its fully booked. The staff suggested an alternative: Pondok Tingal Hotel, however their website lacks info. Not too sure if its a good palce to stay. Anyone been to this hotel? Or is there something else int he same vicinity.
