Bali wedding

My brother is getting married in bali next year and is unsure of what to do. His budget is a little tight so is not wanting to use a wedding planner as it starts to get expensive. I was hoping someone has some information or experience on getting married over there without using a wedding planner. He was wanting to book a restaurant along Jimbaron Bay for the reception. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Bali wedding

if you do a search for previous posts i have answered you will get the information you need. you will still have to pay an organiser to do the basics which is a ';legal wedding ceremony';. you don%26#39;t need to pay for any other items such as cake, music, decorations etc. BUT it is essential to get all of the necessary paperwork organised. i had a %26#39;budget%26#39; wedding. doiing the above is still cheap.

look at a site called bali wedding butler. e mail Deasy and get a quote.

choose a hotel that will let you use their garden for free this will save you heaps. that way someone like Deasy will just arrange the priest and legal ceremony. (you must have 2 ceremonies)

as for the restaurant IF you just book yourself and don%26#39;t pay per head for a wedding banquet you will save a lot of money. Jimbaran bay is not the cheapest place for dinner these days. there are many other areas offering great food and service at a fraction of the price. we just chose a restaurant and ordered from the menu.

Bali wedding

My daughter was recently married at a villa at Ubud. To save time on the paperwork she was married the day prior to leaving for Bali at home in a registry office. According to friends, this was the best decision ever and they wished they had done it. They said it was a real hassle and if a wedding planner isn%26#39;t involved it will be worse.

The ceremony was no different because of this and no one except her father and I knew they were married already. It was a beautiful ceremony, the minister%26#39;s english was great and he read their vows perfectly. They signed a register and were presented with a certificate.

The cake came from Ixora - highly recommend.

The villa owner put them onto a florist.

The reception was a buffet costing $10 per head - western food.

I would be careful with Jimbaran restaurants - they don%26#39;t have a good reputation for honesty and would ensure the one used came highly recommended.

If a caterer is considered can highly recommend Tropical Bale. Didn%26#39;t do our daughter%26#39;s wedding but did her friend%26#39;s. Their food%26#39;s wonderful. Actually, they have a bakery and pastry shop so would no doubt do the wedding cake as well. The price was incredible.
