Construction at Padma Hotel

Hi,

I am booked to stay at the Padma in mid-April. However I have just read recent reviews which discuss the construction and it appears to be quite expenstive and loud. Has anyone stayed there recently or staying there now who can comment on whether it%26#39;s really that bad.

Construction at Padma Hotel

Hi Starsun

I stayed at the Padma in December and renovations were being carried out to some rooms, however, the workmen did not intrude on our holiday even though they were close by.

I heard that the Lobby area is currently being renovated, but I do not know anything else.

I have stayed at other hotels over the last 20 years and occasionally have encountered renovation/construction work. It has never been a huge problem. The workers do try to keep noise/disruption to a minimum. What exactly did the other reviews mention?
