JBR - Komodo National Park/Labuan Bajo

Many thanks for your great read yamanote - feel much happier about planning a trip to the Komodo National Park now. we have been talking about going there for ages but you have encouraged us to do and not just talk about it now.

Very interesting reading yamanote, thank you.

Can I ask the price of the airfares from DPS?

A little less than 700,000 rp each way per person on TransNusa.

Thanks Yama, I hope you don%26#39;t mind but I have forwarded this link to my son who is organising a trip for himself and 8 friends, I thought it would be something he would like.

I also forwarded it to our once-a-year travelling companions because it sounds like something my Hubby, I and our female companion would love. Unfortunately her husband carries an umbrella as a weapon around the monkeys, so I would hate to think what his reaction to Komodo Dragons in the wild would be. I think it will have to be just Hubby and I on one of our trips for this adventure.

No need for an umbrella. They have long forked sticks at the ranger station for that purpose. I will post reviews of the park and accomodation in a day or two with pics.

We went to see the dragons but found a marine paradise way beyond our expectations. I have been to many places in the world, but have found myself so blown away by the beauty of Komodo National Park and the hopitality of the people at Labuan Bajo.

We are definately going back for a more extensive exploration of the islands. I have also heard Seraya island is awesome but we did not have time to make it there.
