Shopping malls opening hours

Are the shopping malls closed on Fridays? and what are the usual opening hours?

Thanks

Shopping malls opening hours

Oh dear, please don%26#39;t see Indonesia as a Muslim country. We%26#39;re quite diverse...

Air-con shopping malls open 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Most of them have official opening hours from 10AM to 10PM. Some restaurants/cafes/pubs inside the mall might extend their opening hours until 11PM or until wee hours in the weekend.

Some malls also have midnight shopping programme every last week of the month, usually open until 12midnight.

Other type of shopping place like wholesale center (such as Mangga Dua and Tanah Abang) open from morning and close in the late afternoon (4PM)

Shopping malls opening hours

Dear Usha00,

Most shopping malls are open 7 days a week, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. However, some shopping malls, usually for wholesaler buying, open from 10 a.m. to 04 - 05 p.m. (e.g. Metro Tanah Abang,Pasar Blok A and ITC Mangga Dua). Some electronic shopping centers in Mangga Dua area also closed around 5 p.m.

On Fridays, even during praying time, most shops remain open. Friday afternoon till Sundays, many shopping malls are crowded with shoppers or people who just come for dining or just relaxing.

Rgds

Great news!!! Thanks for your replies

Ahh Cirque, Indonesia is a Muslim country.

Having said that malls are open 7 days per week and only close on the most major of public holidays and even if then usually just for part of the day.

OMG Camsean... I can%26#39;t believe what you%26#39;ve said... Indonesia is a Muslim country? I believe my teacher in elementary school does not say so... Indonesia is the most populous Muslim-majority nation; however, NO REFERENCE IS MADE TO ISLAM in the Indonesian CONSTITUTION. In fact, the government identify 5 official religion in this country. Although

Quite contrast with the %26#39;real%26#39; muslim country such as Pakistan, Iran, and Malaysia right?

So if you%26#39;re define a Muslim country as a country whose constitution is based on Islam, then Indonesia is NOT.

But if you think just because most of the citizen is Islam then you think it is a Muslim country, you%26#39;re just generalizing something which is big chance turn out NOT TRUE (I don%26#39;t mean to discredit certain race/people but those who always associate Arabs with terrorist, then these people also generalize thing -- WHICH IS NOT TRUE. Arab nation is not all that bad. Certain part - UAE, Bahrain, Qatar are in the booming development of their country, having more diverse workforce than anywhere else.

As a conclusion: associate Arab with terrorist or associate Indonesia as Muslim country? You%26#39;re just generalizing and... IT%26#39;S NOT GOOD because clearly you don%26#39;t base it on the FACT!

well religion is a very sensitive topic I believe...

But for some extent, I agreed with cirque that Indonesia indeed not a moslem country even for some extent the moslem here more liberal than in Malaysia.

I just sick seeing people generalize everything (and this very thing is the root why there%26#39;s no peace on earth)... As a global traveller, one must really be OPEN MINDED and not generalize (because everything is unique). Someone must ready to look, observe, see, and value things everywhere they go.

It%26#39;s not about race or religion or other sensitive topic I want to bring up, but I just want to straight things up.

Indonesia is not an ';Islamic'; Country ? Are you sure?.

Malaysia%26#39;s constitution is not based on Islamic law as

well but we are an Islamic country.

Also , whats wrong if Indonesia is an Islamic or Muslim country?

Oh, guys, come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What all this religious discussion has in common with mall opening hours?

By the way camsean is now a DE (am I the last to see it?????????), I was off-line for a couple a weeks. So better late than never, Camsean, welcome to our tight and amicable Jakarta DE team.
