Best Waterfalls to visit and take a plunge in ??

We are wondering what are the best waterfalls on the island. We will be staying in Pemuteran, Ubud, and Nusa Lembongan over almost two weeks in May and would really like to visit a/some spectacular waterfalls while in Bali.

Any suggestions please and thanks ????

Head to the Git Git waterfalls which you will be able to get to from Ubud. I don%26#39;t know of any other waterfalls on the island.

There are quite a few waterfalls in Bali but apart from Git Git the only other one that I have visited is Munduk waterfall near Lake Tamblingan in the mountains not very far from Bedugul. Once you pass Lake Bratan you turn left and follow the ridge past the Ngiring-Ngewedang restaurant on the right - it is about 1 kilometre past the restaurant. It is really beautiful and there is,in memory, only one little warung on the track downhill - it is nice not to have to pass a whole lot of shops for once as at Git Git.

We are planning to visit Git Git falls next month and this is the info I have found on the falls there:

Gitgit is 10km south of Singaraja in north Bali 2 hours from Kuta.Open 8 – 5.30 and cost about 4000 rupiah. 3 separate stops on the waterfall trek: Gitgit Twin, Gitgit Multi-Tier and Gitgit. All 3 series of cascades are on the same watershed. They have separate parking spots -- all close together (maybe 1.5 kilometers in between the farthest).

The tourists all hit the lowest ';Gitgit'; and in some ways it is the least impressive for that reason. lots of touts there, too. The 2 upper falls have significantly fewer people. And less hawkers. Still pay an entrance fee. Good swimming holes right at the base of the falls.
