estimated expenditure

greetings!

i need some help here, anyone able to tell me, roughly, how much i%26#39;d spend in a typical day....

like... cab to the beach, a few drinks and beach chairs at the beach, cab back, some street shopping, some light meals, ending with a seafood dinner.... for two persons. just roughly how much would that work up to?

estimated expenditure

I gather your staying at the Sofitel Seminyak.

Nananananananana...

Cab to seminyak, even Kuta beach shouldnt be greater than 30-40 Rupiah.

Your average light meal 30-40 rupiah, a beer 8000 r.

Seafood dinner can depend on type of seafood and standard of restaurant.

eg Swordfish at a Warung ( cafe style eatery commonly found throughout Bali) may be 60-70,000 R.

EA meal at Ku de Ta may set you back AUD $200.

As with market shopping, it depends on what ypur shopping for, and, undoubtedly, your negotiation skills.

I allow AUD $100 per day for 2 which includes the odd trip with driver, and do it easily.

Good luck

Hey jvoid

It will really depend on your personal preferences.

Our last couple of trips to Bali and Patong we%26#39;ve budgeted AUD$100 each per day to cover everything including food, drinks, shopping, tours, taxi%26#39;s and hiring drivers. And we%26#39;ve always come back with change.

If you%26#39;re just going to totally chill out on the beach or around the pool, eating cheaply at local restaurants/cafes and bars, buying knock-offs at the markets and catching Bluebird taxi%26#39;s you could budget on AUD$50 each per day. It really depends on how much of a party animal and shop aholic you are and how active you want to be.

Whatever you%26#39;ll have a ball and find everything way cheaper than at home.

Cheers

Peter
