For your artwork, Ubud. As well as being able to get very good art in central Ubud itself, the surrounding villages specialise in various artistic skills. The villages are Batubulan for stone carvings, Celuk for jewelry, Batuan for paintings, and Mas for wood carvings.

it would be a good idea to organise a driver in advance and send a few e mails stating what you are after and get them to help plan a shopping day for you. this way IF there is something in particular you require it also gives them time to help source the goods for you. i do a lot of this sort of shopping and send goods home. best to go direct to the artisans rather than pay at shops. A good driver who also acts as a sourcing agent is Eddy Kus. he also helps organise postage, air, sea freight, packing for people who need some assistance. here is his details

i would set a whole day aside to find all the things you want. perhaps 2 days if you intend to source a large quantity of goods.
