We would love a list of photographic locations as we are both into our photography i.e.

sunsets

villages

local culture

mountains

if you have been and done or if you have aflickr page to look at we really would appreciate your help. we dont mind getting a car and driver to get the right shot.

looking forward to hearing from you, regards,

Andy

p.s. would liked to know if anyone has used a good spa\massage so we can receive our rub down when we have landed to get rid of those aching muscles.

bye for now, sure we have more questions, before we go and thanks

When you are in Ubud go to the market early in the day, maybe 8:00 am, some great photos particularly from upstairs looking down and also a little later in the morning around the market temple.

There are quite honestly, kodak moments around every corner in Bali. It%26#39;s probably easier to list the places that aren%26#39;t that photogenic. Here are a few, but I would do some googling before you go to get a better idea.

Uluwatu and the southern beaches nearby, Tanah Lot, Lake Bratan, Tirta Gangga, The Mother Temple, the orchid gardens, even the larger grocery stores like Carrefour have great displays of colour and textures, Git Git waterfall, any of the many rice terraces, the flower markets outside the Denpasar Markets and even the food markets themselves.

Some of our best shots are of things that just happen around you. Hindu processions and festivals, the wonderful smiling faces, the traffic and just how much can be fit onto 1 small scooter. Sundays are great days to catch shots of the locals taking offerings to temples and spending family time at the beach.

Oh and in June you will see heaps of kites being flown everywhere and if you are lucky may even be there for the kite flying competitions.

very hard question. as was said they are lots of photo moments.

the best way may be to

1. click where it says %26#39;more about rockterrigal%26#39; or any other name (experts have done a number of reviews with photos).

2. click contributions.

3. click reviews especially the ones with the photo symbol (as this is what you want).

likewise if there is a location you are interested in eg tirtagangga. write that in the search box and look for reviews under that with photos.

hope this helps. happy clicking. RT

Point the lens in any direction on the road passing through Tirta Gangga. Green terraced rice fields!

Hi Andy

Look at www.balispaguide.com

One recommendation for good massages in Sanur is Mimosa on Jalan Danau Buyan.

I';d suggest touring with a popular driver/guide who is also a professional photographer Putu Arnawa - putu@balifriendnet. He has taken us to many beautiful locations that are not well known. His knowledge of the best vantage points and when the lighting is perfect for photos is key. Putu designs photo tours around your preferences so you can take the type of shots you%26#39;re looking for.

Look at his photo galleries at www.balifriend.net and http://balifriend.multiply.com/photos for ideas before contacting him.

thank you for all your info and help so kind...

this guy you mrgratful

do you have any rates ?day tours ect

many thanks andy

must say all looks great ........

Andy, for sunset: temple of Tanah Lot is a must.

Sunrise, I loved it in the morning when I walked along the beach by the Puri Santrian Hotel (Sanur)

Local culture: Have a driver take you to the Kite Factory. The color there is unbelievable. All these different sizes, colors, shapes of kites. Two other ';culture places'; we enjoyed was where they made Puppets and where they made Masks. Merta took us to all three of these places. Definitely go to the rice fields. You may get an opportunity to attend a Cremation. We just happened upon one, we were driving with Merta from one hotel to another and off in a field was a cremation cermony going on.

You will really enjoy Bali, lots of ';photo'; opportunities. Dancers, - you should take in at least one show. The market in Ubud, early in the morning is something to see. Not just in the market but there are small trucks parked along the road with all sorts of fruits and vegatables. In Ubud go to the Cafe Lotus, inside the restaurant is just overwelming. Great place for a snack, drinks, dinner. My wife enjoyed the SPA at the Sanur Beach Hotel. John
