what area for beach and restaurants

Hi we are off to bali in 2 weeks for 3 nights. We want a good 4 or 5 star hotel on a nice beach but within walking distance of places to eat and bars, any ideas we have a 13 year old son.

Thanks

You could try Tuban and take son to Waterbom Park for a mornings fun. This area is close to airport and has some major shopping centres.

Look at

Kartika Plaza

Bali Garden

Febris

Patra (although a fair walk to shops etc)

In Seminyak, at the other beach end have a look at

Kumala Pantai

Jayakarta

Mandira

Padma

All these are on the beach and close to excellent beachfront restaurants.

Kumala Pantai

All the hotels on beach are in good locations for eating, shopping.

Hi

I would add to your hotel list the Hard Rock, great area walking distance to most everything, always something happening around there. Also the Dynasty is a popular hotel. I would avoid the Patra Hotel as I took my sons who were about your sons age and they hated it as it was too isolated. Also the beach isnt so nice there and it is right next to the airport which was a bit of a shock. The key to the enjoyment for your teenage son would be location. Have great holiday

If you are coming here in two weeks it would be advisable to book immediately. Most of the good places are running at 100% capacity at the moment.

You no longer have the luxury of just wandering in and hoping a good hotel has a vacancy.

There are 140,000 tourists coming here every month.

That is 4,667 tourists every day.

194 tourists per hour.

3.2 tourists every minute.

One tourist every 18 seconds.

It makes the lines at Immigration understandable.

Bali Hyatt in Sanur would be my suggestion. Stayed there a few weeks ago and found it very good. It%26#39;s got a nice beach and there%26#39;s a path along the beach which runs for a long way(never did get to the end).

The beach is calm due to the reef so good and safe for swimming.
