Airport Bus - DAMRI

Hello all!

Is the DAMRI Airport Bus only departs from Terminal 2 and not from the Domestic Terminal?

Airport Bus - DAMRI

No, DAMRI airport Bus to several destinations in Jakarta run through both Terminals.

It will circle through Terminal 1 first and then to Terminal 2 and then to the destination in the city.

Hi,

The Damri buses go from both terminals. The fare to the city is rp20,000.

Hi all,

How long will the bus ride take, say to Gambir train station?

Any recent changes in price?

Thanks!

trip is about 30-45 mins. It is IDR 20,000/trip

Hi,

The trip from the Airport to Gambir Station can be up to 1hr 15 minutes depending on what time of the day.

I know from experience of getting a bus from Gambir Station to Airport at 2pm in early May 2008

Does anyone have the latest information on when the last DAMRI bus from Jakarta airport to the city is? I have done several searches and some websites say 6.30pm while others say as late as 10pm. I arrive at 6.35pm in early April.

Also, I am staying at an Ibis hotel in the Jalan Jaksa area. Is it an easy walk from Gambir to there at night (about 1km?), or am I better off catching a taxi to the hotel from Gambir? Or even better taking a prepaid taxi from the airport (although more expensive)?

Any information will be appreciated.

I still can see the DAMRI bus roaming the street at night (around 8pm), so I guess your arrival time of 7pm would not be a problem to catch for a bus to the city (yes, take one that goes to GAMBIR).

If you do not bring too much luggage (or too heavy), you can try to walk (from Gambir station to Ibis), but just watch the road, some of them are not well-lit. Taking taxi is also possible, but if you want more economical way, you can go with bajaj (motorized trishaw). Haggle before you get-in. Rp7,000-Rp10,000 is quite good deal for short route.

Getting taxi from the airport directly to the city will cost more, around Rp100,000 but is way more convenient.

P.S. Ibis Hotel is NOT located on Jalan Jaksa, but on Jalan Wahid Hasyim (Jalan Jaksa is a lane, branch of Jalan Wahid Hasyim).
