Our family of 8 adults will be visiting Bandung in May. Do you think it is advisable to have a driver arranged to take us shopping or tour if we stay at Sheraton? Is it just as easy to catch a cab so that we can have more freedom with how we would like to spend the day? Thank you

on weekdays its quite easy to get a cab to ferry you around but during weekends it would be advicaable to get a car n driver as it wold be a long wait to get a taxi. Plus you can ask your driver to hold your shopping bags for you, no need to go to and fro the hotel to send your shopping bags etc....

is not easy to get a taxi in bandung street in the weekend but if you order the taxi from the hotel is possible but you have to wait for a long time also.

if you like to rent a car and a driver for one day is better for you to have a freedom in time like you want to.and you can ask also to driver where is the best place to go or visit.

you can arrange or rent a driver and a car at bandung train station information tourist center and the price for one day its around IDR.600k - IDR.750k/day. and that is already inclued the petrol.

It is advisable for you to rent a car to take you around Bandung bcoz the shopping places and tourist attractions are scattered everywhere. If you want, I can provide you with the contact details of a reliable driver in Bandung.

cab is more expensive.. at least you need two cabs.

unless you only go in one place / dago area.. and spend whole day in that place..for shopping..

great morning...i went to bandung recently...nice and surprising enjoyable trip...

what u can do is get the guy at the airport arranging the taxi and enquire from him about van rental. we did rent from him kia pregio for 600k a day. His name is pak jenas...i 4gotten his phone number..
